Job Detail

Laborer is responsible for setting up construction / safety zones and assisting with construction of underground facilities. Duties may also include maintenance and safe transportation of underground equipment. This position is physically intense and requires both mental and physical strength.

• Must be able to read cad drawings
• Must be able to understand utility locate marks
• Must be able to work without direct supervision
• Must be able to set up and take down safety zones per various DOT regulations
• Must be able to identify various soil conditions
• Must be able and willing to use hand tools throughout the day
• The associate may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

• Must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Has to be callable of working well with others
• Must be able to think through problems and overcome difficult challenges
• Must be able to communicate well with people

• Has to be able to work outdoors at all times
• Must be able to work under inclement weather conditions
• Must be able to work occasionally at night and on the weekends
• Must be able to travel out of town for long periods of time
• Must have normal hearing ability

• Normal vision and accommodation
• Must be able to drive a vehicle, read prints and documents

The associate is required to:
• Walk, run, climb, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor
• Must be able to exert 20-50 pounds frequently
• Must be able to walk and be on your feet all day
