Job Detail

This position has the primary function of managing the registry of all underground fiber that KDL, Inc. is responsible in maintaining. This also includes all needed mapping of such fiber and notifications to the appropriate state One Call organizations. This position is responsible for understanding any changes to the One Call programs and passing this information along to the appropriate parties. Other mapping assignments will also be handled, as needed, by this associate. This associate will also handle other utility locate responsibilities that are not described in detail in this description.

• General processing and analyzing of as-builts received
• Registering all responsible underground fibers to appropriate One Call entity
• Applying for membership to all One Call entities the company does not currently belong.
• Prepare copies and appropriate documents to provide any contract locators
• Update any out of date memberships and underground facilities

• Ability to read and interpret CAD redlines and hand-drawn mark-up drawings
• General understanding of underground construction and safety guidelines
• Mapping skills desirable
• 2+ years of AutoCAD, or comparable program
• Associates Degree, 2+ years of college courses, or comparable training experience

• Ability to balance multiple assignments at once, general multi-tasking
• Great phone and communication skills
• General sense of urgency
• Great follow up skills
